After World War II, our grandfather used to make and race garveys and Jersey skiffs off the coast of Sandy Hook, NJ. In the days before plastic and fold-up/ rust-up aluminum, chairs like these lined the beaches as spectators sat taking in the sun and the races on Sunday afternoons. This will be the most comfortable chair you have ever purchased.

We dedicate the introduction of our new, spacious and clean-lined Seabright Adirondack Chair to the memory of our great-grandfather, wooden boat builder Carl Adams, as it's a great exampleof the merger between a century of our tradition for craftsmanship and our outdoor furniture building philosophy. In the classic work "The Seabright Skiff," which traces the development of the Jersey skiff, the author refers to Carl as "one of the last of the masters," who manufactured this coveted, raced and collected sport watercraft. Our roomier Seabright Adirondack, with its much larger, deeper and gently curved back, is sure to become equally coveted for relaxing - it's designed specifically to provide a more generous and ample back rest for even longer days sitting
and watching the ships go by.

Our roomier Seabright Adirondack features a much larger, deeper and gently curved back. Unlike our original Sandy Hook Adirondack, the Seabright back has a straight edge at the top, rises several inches higher and is contoured to create both a deeper seat and a wider back resting area.

When your little one needs a seat to relax in after too much playtime, our pint-sized Adirondack Chair is up to the job! Built to the same specifications of our adult Adirondacks, our children's version features a deep, sloping seat and wide armrests, perfect for holding a cup of juice or the latest toy that gets carried everywhere.
